first_imgDele Alli has no reason to leave Tottenham right now, according to Darren Anderton. The 21-year-old has been a revelation at White Hart Lane since arriving from Milton Keynes in 2015 and has been one of the standout stars in the Premier League this season. His fine form has caught the attention of heavyweight clubs across Europe, with Spanish giants Real Madrid reported to be considering a swoop.Tottenham’s Premier League rivals Manchester City have also been linked with a move for the midfielder – although Pep Guardiola has played down his club’s interest. But, with the north London side currently prospering under manager Mauricio Pochettino, Anderton would be surprised to see Alli leave White Hart Lane any time soon.Speaking to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, the former Spurs star said: “He is still young, he is still improving, and he is at the right club in my opinion.“He has got the right manager and it seems as if he is very happy there. There are lots of young English lads there and they all seem to get on very well. The new stadium is coming. It is a great place to be at the moment“I think they will keep hold of him. If those big offers come in I’m sure Daniel [Levy, the chairman] will be thinking about it, but fingers crossed he turns those offers down.“In terms of the Premier League, Spurs seem to be the team to be at. Pochettino has made every player improve since he has been there so it is only good times for the players at the moment.”last_img
