RUGBY LEAGUE PNG Kumuls Coach Michael Marum should be accorded the respect that he deserves. PNG Prime Minister’s 13 assistant coach and Enga Mioks coach Timothy lepa have been one of the worst critic of PNG Kumuls coaching and management staff over the past recent years. Lepa said: “But now being part of the team I have now understood how the operations have been ongoing behind the scene. “I have seen the commitment and effort shown by coach Michael Marum towards players and officials in both the SP Hunters and PNG Kumuls camps. “Michael (Marum) had done a lot for the Kumuls and it was only appropriate that he receive the kudos that he deserved. “Coach Marum was the reason the Kumuls are playing well as a team and he should be credited for the Kumuls success. “I as his assistant coach I have seen drastic changes within the Kumuls setup and all that should be credited to Michael’s (Marum) discipline ethics and leadership in the team. “Michael (Marum) has in place a long-term plan to groom our Kumuls and we should all work together as stakeholders towards developing rugby league in PNG. “Criticisms are good for the team, however critics should suggest constructive ideas to help the team as well,” he added.
