first_imgPlayers of the national U-20 team, the Black Satellites on Monday commenced preparation for the final round qualifier of the African Youth Championship.Ghana has been paired against The Gambia for the September 28 fixture with the first leg coming up at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.Africa’s qualifying series has now been narrowed down to 14 sides after the July’s first round of qualifiers.Seven teams would qualify over a two-leg fixture for the Championship to be hosted by Rwanda in 2009.Black Satellites coach Sellas Tetteh called up 36-member squad for camping as he prepares for the first leg match at home.Ghana reached the final round stage of the qualifiers after managing a 5-2 aggregate win over Angola.
